Project Description:
Utilizing volumetric modular construction, the project will provide 250 Beds for housing insecure and homeless students and is comprised of three distinct neighborhoods: traditional, semi-suite, and studio apartments. The residential neighborhoods are seamless joined and integrated with shared community kitchens, study rooms, social lounges, exterior courtyards, and other amenities, creating an inclusive, welcoming, and safe residential environment. An SB169 grant recipient, this expedited project began with program confirmation and schematic design in the Fall of 2022 and was approved by DSA February 2024. Balancing the schedule and construction quality with the budget was critical while utilizing well-established relationships with local officials has allowed this unique construction delivery method to become a reality.
